Corporate Social Responsibility

Much more than a school: a fully engaged community!
Committed to a more sustainable and human future
Escuela socialmente responsable

The Colegio de España has been recognized by FEDELE as a Socially Responsible ELE School, a distinction that certifies our firm commitment to sustainability, inclusion, education in values, and active contribution to our social, cultural, and environmental surroundings.

We understand the teaching of Spanish as a comprehensive experience: learning a language also means understanding the world around us, respecting it and performing as responsible actors. Therefore this recognition is not just a seal, but rather a natural extension of our educational philosophy and our Corporate Social Responsibility.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Our Commitment as a Socially Responsible School

Being a Socially Responsible School means integrating sustainability into the daily life of the institution while promoting values that stay with students beyond the classroom. At the Colegio de España, we put into practice this commitment to life through:

  • Environmental responsibility, promoting sustainable habits and responsible resource management.
  • Inclusion and diversity, creating an environment where every person is welcomed and valued.
  • Community engagement, collaborating with social and cultural organizations in Salamanca.
  • Ethical and transparent management, focused on the well-being of students, teachers and staff.

Sustainable practices within the school

  • We have significantly reduced consumption of paper through the digitalization of documents and activities.
  • We promote responsible use of resources and the implementation of energy-efficient processes.
  • We incorporate eco-friendly materials in items such as backpacks and T-shirts, encouraging responsible consumption both inside and outside the school.
  • We prioritize environmentally friendly products, reducing chemical impact and reinforcing health and safety within our educational community.

Cultural and environmental awareness activities

We offer workshops and guided tours of emblematic locations such as the Huerto de Calixto y Melibea, where students learn about native flora and reflect on Salamanca’s natural and cultural heritage.

Outdoor activities and well-being

We promote cultural walks, outdoor activities in parks, and routes through natural spaces in the city. These activities foster physical and emotional well-being, strengthen community connections, and link Spanish learning with active outdoor life—an essential part of our global educational vision and our Corporate Social Responsibility.
