Students who live in the European Union have to ask for the European Health Insurance Card before travelling to Spain. This pass covers the fees of any medical service in case of illness.
Students who do not live in the European Union have to bring their own medical or travel insurance.
In case of illness, students should see a the doctor and pay for the consultation and the medicine. Normally, when they come back to their home countries, their insurance will refund theses expenses (according to the specific conditions of each insurance).
If the student does not already have an insurance, he can take it out via the Colegio. The student has to ask fot that service before he arrives in Spain.
To apply for a visa, some students will be asked to provide a certificate from the Colegio confirming their enrolment in our courses. This certificate will be sent on request by email, fax or letter. This certificate contains all information (confirmation of payment, start and end date of the course, lodging, etc.) required by the consulate or embassy.
The Colegio de España has its own book house, Ambos Mundos, dedicated among others to books on Spanish Language Teaching as a Foreign Language (Los Verbos Españoles, Ser y Estar, Las Perífrasis Verbales, El Indicativo, Las Preposiciones en Español, etc.). Many of these books have been written by teachers from our school, such as Los Verbos Españoles (9th edition), one of our bestsellers in Spain and Europe.
