Classroom in Salamanca
The Colegio de España is a Centro Acreditado by the Cervantes Institute and is part of its network of Associated Centres, integrated by centres whose quality has been recognized by the Institute. The Colegio also has the Seal of Quality CEELE granted by the University of Alcalá de Henares.
Many universities from the United States and Europe have had or have established their academic programs with the Colegio de España. Samewise, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we have organized some recycling courses for Spanish teachers from Brazil and the English-speaking Carribean. Also teachers of Spanish in High-schools from all over the world have taken these kind of courses at the Colegio, especially designed for them.

The Colegio has its own Publishing House, Ambos Mundos, dedicated, among others, to the edition of books on Spanish as a Foreign Language (Los Verbos Españoles, Ser y Estar, Las Perífrasis Verbales, El Indicativo, Las Preposiciones en Español, etc.). Annually the Colegio publishes the literary and cultural magazine (Cuadernos del Lazarillo), distribuited at Libraries and Universities, and with collaboration of well-known specialists. We also have an Association for Ex-Students and a Department for Cultural Activities.
The Colegio is member of FEDELE (Federación Española de Centros de Enseñanza de Español), and of AEECYL (Asociación de Escuelas de Español de Castilla y Léon). The Colegio collaborates closely with the Cultural Institution “Alfonso X, El Sabio”, which offers conferences (history, art, literature, society and politics) which can be freely attended by our students.
